James Taylor's "Covers" CD (Hear Music) was released September 30! It was recorded live last January, featuring back-up vocals by Kate, Arnold McCuller, David Lasley and Andrea Zonn, with the Band of Legends.

Kate finished the 2008 summer tour with James and his Band of Legends in August. In September, she just finished promotion for JT's "Covers" CD. She also appeared on "Good Morning America" and filmed a TV special with Elvis Costello to be aired soon.
Kate performed with a pared-down group, featuring James, Owen Young (cello), and Caroline Taylor (vocals) at the Clinton Global Initiative Awards in New York on September 25th. She also performed for the Andre Agassi Grand Slam charity event in Las Vegas on Oct. 10th.
James allowed members of his band to sell their own CDs on his merchandise tables for this last summer tour. This really helped boost sales for Kate's CD, Map of the World! James is also the first royalty artist to utilize a new agreement with AFTRA allowing the singers to run their salary income through AFTRA, enabling them to qualify for medical benefits and add to their pensions. Touring & Recording With James Taylor
Kate just finished working on James Taylor's new live cover CD in January. She'll be touring with James this summer on his "James Taylor and His Band Of Legends" tour.

Diana Ross
Kate sang and co-arranged back up vocals for a new Diana Ross CD produced by Peter Asher.
MusiCares Gala Performance
Kate performed with James Taylor and special guests at the Grammys MusiCares Person Of the Year tribute show on February 6, 2006.
New Album Planned
Kate is writing songs for a new CD to be recorded later in 2006.
German TV Appearance
Kate went to Germany in March to appear on a TV show called "Best of Formel Eins", peforming her '91 hit single and accepting their viewers award.

Kate performed with James Taylor on his 2005 "Summer's Here" tour.

"Map of the World," Kate's solo debut album, is available on Compass Records with appearances by both James Taylor and Shawn Colvin. It's now available on iTunes in addition to CD.
In the Studio
Kate worked on James Taylor's Christmas CD, which was released in late 2004. She also performed on a CD by Raul Malo.
